Book Two Cover Feedback

Welcome to my book 2 survey and thank you for participating!

I am offering this sneak peek of the future cover for The Midnight Crescent, the sequel to The Lucky Six, to my newsletter subscribers as a thank you for subscribing. You also get a say in which cover is used for publication.

The survey is four questions. I’ll show you the hardcover and paperback covers from The Lucky Six for reference, then you get to rate the two variants for The Midnight Crescent. It would be very helpful if you have comments to add as well. Here’s the rating scale:

5-stars — this would be a great cover for book 2

4-stars — this would be a good cover for book 2

3-stars — I’m neutral — it’s OK

2-stars — Hmm… needs work

1 stars — Absolutely not!

A note on the book color. The green color I chose is one of the three colors used for Mardi Gras (which are purple, green and gold). For those wondering, I haven’t decided on what color to use for the special numbered edition yet. It may be a purple variant again.

Question 3: Choosing a Crow

I used a dragonfly for The Lucky Six cover (as it had a role in the story). For the second book, a crow is relevant to the story. I’ve narrowed my choice down two crow silhouettes. Please rate how much you like the Standing Crow and the Flying Crow. I will only pick one for the final cover.

Don’t worry about the text as that is all placeholder for now, just looking for any comments about the book visually with the goal of making it interesting enough that you’d want to take it off the shelf and then read what it’s about. Does it give off historical mystery / adventure?
